Dear Community Members:

As requested by the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, the Wasa-Nabin Programs across the province will now have to limit the amount of group programs and focus more on conducting one on one sessions with clients. This will begin in May 2009 and the new program calendar will reflect this new format.

The Wasa-Nabin program services urban aboriginal children between the ages 13-18. The program addresses the following components:

         *Provision of social support

         *Youth in care

         *Healthy eating and physical development

         *Support of  educational services

         *Justice interventions

         *Anti-Violence techniques

If you any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Meegwetch,
Christine Lajoie
