About

– Children 7 – 12

The Akwe: Go Program is a new program funded by the Ministry of Child and Youth Services. This program has been specifically designed to provide a comprehensive program to urban Aboriginal children between the ages of 7 – 12. The goal of the program is to provide at-risk urban Indigenous children with the support, tools and healthy activities which will build upon and foster their inherent ability to make healthy choices. It has been designed based on a fundamental principle: To improve the quality of life of urban Aboriginal children through the delivery of culturally appropriate programs and services.
